Compatibility

Works on every Indian stove.

One pressure-forged base, engineered for LPG, induction, glass top and coil — because most Indian kitchens use at least two of them.

Perfect fit

LPG gas

Recommended heat · Low to medium flame

Keep the flame inside the base diameter. Flames licking up the sides cook the walls, not the food, and discolour the exterior over time.

  • Match burner size to pan size — the 28cm tawa wants the big burner, the 16cm saucepan the small one.
  • Medium flame is enough for almost everything. High is only for a quick sear.
  • The forged base sits flat and won't rock on a standard trivet.
Induction ready

Induction

Recommended heat · Level 4–6 of 10

Every piece has a magnetic induction plate bonded into the forged base, so it's recognised instantly by Indian induction cooktops.

  • Start two levels lower than you would with steel — ceramic heats fast.
  • Avoid the auto 'fry' preset on most cooktops; it preheats empty and runs too hot.
  • Lift, don't slide, to protect both the plate and the cooktop glass.
Safe, with care

Glass top / ceran

Recommended heat · Medium setting

The flat forged base makes full contact with the glass, giving even heat without hot rings. Because contact is total, the pan heats faster than you expect.

  • Always lift the pan when moving it — dragging scratches the cooktop, not the pan.
  • Wipe spills once the surface cools; sugar residue etches glass tops.
  • Give it thirty seconds to settle before adding oil.

Electric coil & halogen

Recommended heat · Medium, then reduce

Coil elements hold heat long after you turn them down, so the trick is to finish cooking on residual heat rather than chasing the dial.

  • Choose a coil that matches the base diameter or is slightly smaller.
  • Turn the element off two minutes early and let carry-over heat finish the dish.
  • Never leave the empty pan sitting on a hot coil.

The base, explained

Pressure forged, then flattened.

Dense aluminium body

Forging under pressure compacts the metal so heat spreads sideways instead of pooling over the burner.

Bonded induction plate

A magnetic stainless disc is fused into the base — no glued-on plate that separates after a year.

Machined flat finish

The base is machined true so it sits dead flat on glass and induction surfaces, with no rocking or ringing.
